Whether you’re looking for the latest gadgets or feeding the creative monster within, Target has a lot to offer you and your family. And it’s not just for the holidays.

When I started planning my annual holiday baskets this year, I knew there were a couple of places I would need to check out. Target is one of them. The Target Dollar Spot comes in handy when you’re on a budget.

Most of the things I’ll be picking up for the holiday baskets will include a theme. I shared more about this year’s themed baskets in a previous post.

Why Shop Online
Preparing for the holidays is a lot easier these days. With the option to shop online, parents can easily avoid a number of things, including the tantrums at the store or on the checkout aisle.

For some, it’s a matter of making their shopping experience more enjoyable. Less stress means happiness, right? That’s why from now until January 1, 2017, Target is offering free shipping and returns on all orders placed at Target.com.

Here’s some additional information about this deal:

  • No minimum purchase required. Handling fees may apply.
  • Valid for orders shipped to all 50 states and APO/FPO addresses.

Coca-Cola And Santa Claus
Drinking soda has always been something my parents would allow during special occasions like holidays and birthdays.

There’s something about a tall glass of Coca-Cola over family dinner that makes me smile. It’s no surprise that many of the ads you’ll be seeing in the upcoming weeks will showcase Santa holding a Coca-Cola. I’m almost certain most families have held onto the same tradition as mine.

For this reason, I’ll be throwing in some Coca-Cola themed items into this year’s holiday baskets. I’ve added four items that could work as stocking stuffers as well:

1. Coca-Cola mini bottle opener ($10.99)
2. Lip Smackers Coca-Cola set of 8 ($7.99)
3. Coca-Cola t-shirt ($12.99)
4. Secret Formula: The Inside Story of How Coca-Cola Became the Best-Known Brand in the World ($16.99)

Preparing For Guests
The holiday season means coming together with family and friends. Whether you have people spending the night or a couple of nights, you’ll want to plan ahead. We keep two or three bedsheets available for whenever guests arrive.

Most of our bedsheets have been purchased online from Target. Our go-to brand is Room Essentials. The Easy Care line makes laundry a breeze. Here are a couple of bedroom items for less than $30 you might want to add to your guestroom:

Solid comforter
Pillow cases
Mattress pad
