Self-Care During Pregnancy: How To Minimize The Appearance Of Stretch Marks

This post is sponsored by Palmer’s in collaboration with The Motherhood. All thoughts are my own.

Every pregnancy is different, and so is every baby bump. As your pregnancy progresses, you might notice these squiggly lines called stretch marks. No matter how much you’ve tried not to scratch the itchy surface, it’s there.

I remember when we had our firstborn, and how I was excited to not have that many stretch marks. The strange thing was having them all on one side.

When I became pregnant with our second child, the other side of my belly button was targeted with stretch marks. It looked as though Freddy Krueger had clawed my baby bump.

The stretch marks have now returned during my third pregnancy. This time, they’re all on one side.

3 Ways To Minimize The Appearance Of Stretch Marks
For years, I’ve heard about the importance of using cocoa butter on your baby bump during your pregnancy. It wasn’t until I was pregnant with our first that I realized how beneficial it was to use Palmer’s Cocoa Butter daily.

Stretch marks come with the pregnancy, but it doesn’t mean you have to keep them. After a month of using Palmer’s Cocoa Butter new enhanced formula, I noticed the stretch marks were beginning to fade. You can see for yourself on my Instagram post.

It’s been more than 40 years since Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula hit the shelves and became a trusted brand in helping pregnant women feel more confident and beautiful with their changing bodies.

Developed specifically for pregnant women and their unique skincare concerns, Palmer’s Stretch Mark Formulas address pregnancy stretch mark risk factors including – collagen and elastin breakdown, loss of elasticity, and moisture loss. Each product contains a blend of natural ingredients, oils, and plant extract.

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula recently announced even more efficacious and more natural with
formulas that are Mineral Oil-Free- Hypoallergenic – Phenoxyethanol- Free –
Paraben/Phthalate-free – Allergen free – Dye-free and Dermatologist Approved.
This is good news for those with sensitive skin like myself.

Through the use of Collagen, Elastin, Cocoa/Shea Butter, Vitamin E, Argan Oil, and Lutein, Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula has helped more than 98% of women improve skin elasticity within an 8-week period.*

So, how can Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula help you with your changing body? Below are three ways to make use of Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula during your pregnancy:

1) Massage Lotion:
Lather up in the Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Massage Lotion for Stretch Marks to help improve skin elasticity and reduce the appearance of stretch marks. This non-greasy lotion is ideal for all over body use, in place of your regular moisturizer. (Use twice daily).

2) Tummy Butter:
Apply Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Tummy Butter in circular motions after using the Massage Lotion. This will help maximize your results. It smells great and provides the intense moisture skin needs to stay supple during pregnancy. (Use thrice daily).

3) Massage Cream:
Using Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Massage Cream relieves dryness from the stressed skin for 48 hours. It also softens and smoothes skin to help it retain its natural moisture and improve
elasticity, and restores your skin’s suppleness and appearance. (Use twice daily).

  1. Ohhh many I don’t miss that itchy belly! I lived on Palmers when I was pregnant! If I get pregnant again I’ll definitely be breaking it out to use on my belly 🙂

  2. When I was pregnant the 1st time, having never carried a child, stretch marks were a HUGE concern for me. My friend recommended butters too and I am relieved to say that after 11 years and 2 children later… no stretch marks! ☺️ It’s a fabulous product and a great way to massage the outside of your babies 1st home. 👍🏼💕

  3. I think I remember that Palmer’s was great for stretch marks but I wasn’t aware of all of these products. Any product with butter in the title is always nice but the massage lotion sounds good too.

  4. Palmers Is an amazing brand, and although Freddy Kruger didn’t Attack my belly he got my butt, lol. Palmer helped all the way and I still used there products because the smell and softness that it provides to my skins is amazing.

  5. Its nice to have some tools we can use during pregnancy to look and feel better. I have heard such great things about Palmer’s, it is good to know it can help with stretch marks.

  6. I heard a lot of good reviews about Palmer. In fact majority of my friends used this and they also recommend this to me. I am not pregnant yet hopefully soon now it convince me more to trust this product.

  7. I’ve been using Palmers Massage Lotion throughout my Pregnancy. Not just on my belly, but pretty much everywhere under my waist. Since its my first Pregnancy, I was skeptical of having stretch marks all over my body without being able to properly treating it. I figured itd be easier to Prevent it.
