Motivation Monday: It's Never Too Late To Begin
I have probably told myself this several time before I started to actually believe it, and I am so much happier today because of this. If you ever doubted your ability to do anything, please stop. You are better than you think you are, all you need is dedication. Whether you are sitting down writing your ideas on paper or putting up a vision board of everything you would like to accomplish in the next couple of months, or year, you are already ahead of yourself. That minor step is a leap in my book. All you have to do is put those thoughts into action.
I stopped working on The Pines News for a bit, started to feel discouraged, but once I started up again, I began a new chapter. Something better than before. This time I gave it my all. After experiencing a minor setback with Blogger, I knew the best thing to do was switch to WordPress, where I have my other blogs. It has been the best move for The Pines News, and I now have accurate and detailed stats to track the amount of traffic on my site. I was so excited to see that in just one day, I was able to double the amount of views I received on the first day of going live.
Getting The Pines News off the floor was one of my biggest goals this year and I could not have done it without the little voice in the back of my head. One of my good friends came for my son’s first birthday and she asked about The Pines News and I told her it was on hold. That was all I needed to get myself going. I kept thinking about why I had it on hold, and how I was afraid of what people were going to say. But, with time I started to think about why I started The Pines News and why it was important not only for me but for the people of the town. So, I stuck to it, and even perfected the logo and tagline, and breathed life back into the social sites. I can honestly say I am happy with my decision.
