As our children continue to grow, so does their appetites. Although snacks can be found throughout our pantry, there’s one thing that they’ll never turn down — meat. The more meat, the better!

During one of my recent food shopping adventures, I came across Alpha Foods which offer inexpensive plant-based meals. I read the ingredients and noticed each burrito is 100% plant-based with melty non-dairy cheese and a meat-like texture. I thought to myself, will my picky eaters enjoy it?

I plated them with two of their favorite snacks: cheese and fruits. It looked appetizing.

Can you guess which items they chose first?

The burritos contain clean, quality ingredients packed full of 11
grams of protein and are free of GMOs, cholesterol, hormones, corn
syrup, artificial preservatives, and all animal products.

Available in four delicious, plant-based flavors — Mexicali, Fajita Chick’n, Philly Sandwich, and Pizza — I knew these burritos would be perfect for our on-the-go lifestyle.

We picked up three of the four flavors: Pizza (for the kids), Fajita Chick’n and Philly Sandwich for us.

For those of you looking to reduce meat or dairy consumption in 2019, Alpha Burritos offers delicious and easy burritos for you to enjoy.

Alpha Burritos are inexpensive, each burrito retails for less than $5 at your local grocery store.

If you’re looking to get your meat-eating family to try plant-based products such as Alpha Burritos, then I recommend the following:

1. Make it a shopping adventure.
Have the kids come with you to the store and choose the flavor they’d like to try at home. The more simple the better. Alpha Burritos offers pizza as one of its flavors which is always a win with our boys.

2. Get them involved.
Kids love to feel included in whatever it is that you’re doing. Our boys love the kitchen. They usually grab snacks or get to taste the ingredients while we cook — it’s a win-win.

3. Plate your dish with their favorite foods.
Seeing things they enjoy makes it easier for them to associate the plant-based meal with something delicious.
