Putting A Bow On Shopper Social Media

Holiday Shopping Moms
Holiday bells are ringing and it is only November!

Collective Bias shared an infographic with shopper social media stats late last month. According to the infographic, more than half (54%) of consumers think about holiday shopping by October. Most (83%) make their first holiday purchase in November. Although most consumers are big on peer reviews, 52% expect to receive information on sales, products and promos directly from retailers.

Pinterest Holiday Use
Making boards on Pinterest is one of my favorite ways to get ideas for upcoming events. For most Pinterest users, engaging with this site has “changed the way they make holiday preparations.” In addition, more than 40% of consumers admitted to having a holiday-themed board.

Women love using Pinterest for the holiday season, and are utilizing the website to do the following:
– Gather information on gift ideas for others (60%);
– Research gifts they are thinking of getting for someone (36%); and
– Create a gift wishlist to share (26%).
