3 Stats That Prove Laughing Is Good For You

No matter what you’re doing, if someone was cracking up in front of you, something inside of you would trigger a smile. 
That’s because laughing is contagious. 
I’ve laughed so hard at the things that probably aren’t supposed to be funny several times in my life. And to be honest, I wouldn’t take those laughs back because, as studies have shown, it’s good for you. 
In fact, I’ve actually gone out my way to put together a list of three reasons why you should try laughing more:
1. Laughing boosts your heart rate. 
“Combining laughter and movement, like waving your arms, is a great way to boost your heart rate,” according to Steve Wilson, MA, CSP, a psychologist and laugh therapist, in this Web MD article
2. Laughing relieves stress.
There are times in our lives when we’re up to our neck with things and can’t really seem to shake the stress. Something happens and suddenly you burst out laughing. That laugh helps you relieve all the stress you had.

3. Laughing can help you learn. Classroom comedy was noted by the American Psychological Association to improve student performance by reducing anxiety, boosting participation, and increasing students’ motivation to focus on the learning material.
