Costco Opens Long-Awaited Store In Coral Springs

Coral Springs residents were excited to learn that one of their favorite stores was opening a location in their town. On Thursday, February 7th the company opened its doors at 4621 Coral Ridge Drive.

With locations in Boca Raton and Pompano Beach, it was time for Coral Springs to get a Costco store of its own.

Food shopping is my workout!

The 156,000-square-foot building has many of the same items you can see at your local Costco:

  • An independent doctor of optometry;
  • Pharmacy;
  • Tire center;
  • Hearing aid center; and
  • Food court.

One of my favorite features is at the Food Court center. There’s a Self-Checkout Kiosk available to its members. This makes ordering during your lunch hour or while picking up a few items a breeze.

The Coral Springs location is the 8th of the company’s warehouses to open in South Florida, and the 27th to open in the state.

At checkout, I chatted with cashier Tay who is excited to hear the company is expanding. “I went to college and I’m glad I found a job with Costco,” she said. “There’s so much opportunity, and hearing that we’ve opened up another store makes me happy about the future.”

Tay expressed how thrilled she gets whenever she hears news of expansion from Costco. “It gives me chills to hear about Costco and what they’re doing. Knowing that there’s always room for growth in this company.”

  1. Being a Costco fan myself I can give you a million list of things to buy at Costco that you won’t regret and you won’t find anywhere else. For once you won’t find a better sauce that the Kirkland pesto sauce; I’ll even bet money on it! Their Kirkland organic orange juice; Hands down the best! And the kids individually packed to-go apple sauce pouches. Well, they say it’s for kids but I even eat it as a snack myself. And on your way out, get the chicken bake. Yummy in my tummy!

  2. Coral Springs must be extra happy to have that bad boy there. Costco is a great store with awesome prices. Plus, they have everything in existence pretty much.

  3. That is wonderful news and I am sure so many people will take advantage of Costco. Nice to go and stock up and they have wonderful food selection as well as many other items.

  4. Whoa! 156k square foot is too big. I think one day isn’t enough to explore the entire building entirely. There’s lot of stuff so it will be really helpful to have a shopping list before going.

  5. I’ve heard such great things about this store. We don’t have one nearby, sadly. If we did, I’d so go! I keep hoping they will build one near my house.

  6. I shop at Sam’s more only because it’s right up the street from me and to get to Costco we have to go across town. Although there are things I like purchasing from there better and they have things I can’t find in other stores. I may end up purchasing a membership now that my husband has a new job because we can afford to shop there more than in the past.

  7. Getting the Executive Membership could possibly pay for itself, if you’re a frequent shopper at Costco. We love shopping there, as they have just about everything we need, and, for a family of 5, it just makes more sense.

  8. oh my gosh i LOVe costco and that i can do a quick pick up as well when i have so many items i want to get but not enough room in my cart ha. you’ll love it my friend! enjoy stocking up!

  9. Costco is an essential for so many of us. It is a great way to shop and if you partner with a friend you can really save.

  10. I have a huge love/hate relationship with Costco. This means, I love hating it. 😉 In all seriousness, though, I really do find costco to be fan favorite when it comes to buying in bulk.

  11. I know what it is like to get excited over a Costco opening. I used to live in a city with Costco and when we moved and there was no Costco it took us awhile to get used to it. But when a new one opened we were ecstatic!

  12. Besides the great bargains to be had at Costco I have heard of the wonderful food court. I am glad you’ll get to experience this in the new Costco that turned up in your area

  13. We have Costco nearby I haven’t taken membership there as I have Sams club membership. I will check it out. If I think that is better then I go for it. That Coral spring costco store looks really nice.

  14. We love Costco! I shop there all the time. We have animals and it’s the best place to shop for Kitty litter, dog, and cat food!

  15. I live in Spain and we don’t have Costco here. From the looks of the pictures, I imagine them to be somewhat similar to Ikea? Will check it out when I’m in the States!

  16. I don’t live in the States so I have never been to a Costco. However, we do have cash and carry stores around here too and they are great. Buying in bulk is so much cheaper than individual items. And saves you time in your weekly shopping, when you buy the household items there.
