Family Night At BRIO Tuscan Grille
Although we received a complimentary dinner by the restaurant to try their raviolis, all opinions and thoughts are our own.
A family night out typically includes a few drinks and dinner at one of the restaurants from The Shops at Pembroke Gardens.
And this week, we were invited to an Italian restaurant from The Shops.
BRIO Tuscan Grille is a restaurant that features your classic Italian dishes, with fresh ingredients. The setting of the restaurant reminded us of a hotel resort. It’s relaxing, but you can hear the sounds of forks and plates being placed on tables. Jeff described the sound as being at a dinner.
Celebrating Ravioli Day
To celebrate Ravioli Day this month, BRIO will be offering 50% off its ravioli plates starting Sunday, March 20th through Wednesday, March 23rd.
There are three ravioli dishes featured during this special available at BRIO:
1. Ravioli Di Bello: This dish comes with a mouth-watering Portobello ravioli. It is plated with crimini mushrooms, grape tomatoes, Parmesan and thyme in a champagne brown butter sauce.
BRIO is offering the lunch portion specially priced at $6.75 (normally priced at $13.50), and the dinner portion for $7.98 (normally priced at $15.95). This dish pairs nicely with a glass of Conundrum 25th Anniversary Red Blend, priced at $11.95 per glass.
2. Lobster and Shrimp Ravioli: Normally offered only at dinner, this dish is being featured at lunch during the celebration at the reduced price of $9.75.
For dinner, the special price is $9.98 (regularly $19.95). This delicious dish is served with spicy black pepper cream, spinach and grape tomatoes.
BRIO recommends pairing this dish with the 25th Anniversary Conundrum White Blend (Napa Valley, California), priced at $11.95 per glass. The wine balances the spicy finish of the black pepper cream sauce.
3. Ravioli Alla Vodka: This dish includes five-cheese ravioli with pancetta, garlic, basil and a rich tomato cream sauce for $8.95.
We tried the first two: Ravioli Di Bello and Lobster and Shrimp Ravoli.
Jeff and I really liked the Ravioli Di Bello. This dish is lightly seasoned, which gives it a soft taste.
You don’t want to skip on the spinach and grape tomatoes. They not only garnish your plate, but the combination of everything gives it a lot of flavor.
The black pepper cream sauce gives the ravioli a nice kick. Be sure to have the right beverage in hand to help balance the taste.
Plan A Date Night
If you’re looking to visit your local BRIO Tuscan Grille, be sure to plan ahead. There are a couple of options for seating arrangements, along with two private party areas.
Personally, I like the front patio. It’s a lot quieter and more intimate for couples.
But I’ll let you decide:
Also, there’s a Bunny Brunch the day before the ravioli specials begin. Stop by Saturday morning!
