It’s no secret that we’re expecting our third and tomorrow we might be able to find out the sex of our child.
Although we’re the least bit concerned about the sex, it does help to plan for potential items we might need. One of the perks of having boys first is that we have a variety of items that could work for a little girl. All we would need to add is a dress or two. In this post, I share a handful of items that make everyday life with our little ones run a lot smoother.
Bath Time Essentials
Our boys love bathing, they could do without showers. Oftentimes I let them soak in a bubble bath for longer than usual so they can calm down before bedtime. If we’re running late, we opt for a shower.
Although we have two bathtubs for our boys, we use one. It’s called the Stokke Flexibath and it makes tidying up a breeze. You can see our little one in action in this video:
Aside from finding the right bathtub for your little one, I highly recommend trying a variety of body washes to see which one meets your baby’s needs. Personally, I like the Aveeno Lightly Scented Body Wash.
It meets our needs in both price range and their skin sensitivities. A bonus: it’s perfect for bubble baths!
Feeding Your Baby
Most parents would agree that feeding time is one of the best times to bond with your little ones. And not to mention the messiest! We like to use products that allow for an easy clean, like choosing the silicone or plastic bibs over the cloth ones. You can find these just about anywhere, even at your local Target.
Caring For Your Little One
Feeling under the weather isn’t fun, can you imagine what it’s like to care for a child who isn’t feeling well. This means lots of cuddles and fluids.
We love cuddling up with fleece blankets during sick days. They really do make everything better, no matter how sick you feel.
Another favorite is the Braun ThermoScan No Touch + Forehead thermometer. This thermometer has helped us keep track of fevers while our boys slept. No one likes to be disturbed when they’re sleeping — more so when they’re sick — and this thermometer is non-invasive.
Do you have any baby must-haves you’d like to add?
