Last Minute Thanksgiving Decoration Ideas From Dollar Tree
Thanksgiving is a week away and I just got word that I will be in charge of decorations. I will take decorating the table over slaving in the kitchen any day of the week!
Because I am an over-achiever, I have been thinking about bringing some dessert like a homemade apple pie. But this time, I will just stick to the decor and bring some virgin Jell-O shots we can all enjoy!
I chose two of my favorite autumn colors: red and yellow. These colors are available all year round and work well with your Thanksgiving decor. I will be placing the two table cloths one on top of the other: one going diagonally and the other horizontally.
I worked on these earlier this week.
The Silverware
About a year ago, I visited a Dollar Tree store and I spotted silver utensils and I purchased two packs of 12. Each pack comes with four spoons, four forks and four knives. Because we are having at least 15 to 20 people at Jeff’s brother’s house, I picked up six packs. This gives me 24 sets.
I am not a fan of fake flowers, but I doubt I will have time to pick up a fresh bouquet from the store the day of. I also picked up fake red flower petals. I will be using a permanent marker to make them appear more like leaves. I will spread them throughout the table, but not too much so it does not look tacky.

I also picked up three autumn colored ribbons to tie around my flameless and scented candles.
The Wall
I bought yellow crepe streamers and I already have white ones from Sebastian’s first birthday. I will be using the two on the wall next to the table as a step and repeat, and sticking a couple of the red “leaves” to resemble fall.
I cannot wait to see the outcome of all this! I am getting excited just writing about it. 🙂
I hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday.
