Baby Bump Love

This image has been circling throughout Facebook and I cannot help but love it more and more each time I see it. After giving birth to my son I knew I would have a permanent scar — after all, I had a C-section. That was the least of my worries. For me, the scar is a reminder of the bundle of love that now lives outside of me. He has left a permanent smile imprinted below my abdomen, and I gladly tell everyone I gave birth by C-section.

But, my baby bump, that was a different story.

I lost most of my pregnancy weight the first month after giving birth. Breastfeeding really helped! I went from a size 7 (pre-pregnancy) to a size 2 (post-pregnancy). Although I lost most of the weight I still have a baby bump, and at first, it was not easy trying to deal with the extra baggage. I tried working out at home and eating healthy but it can get a little overwhelming.

With time, I have learned to embrace the beauty of motherhood, because after all, I am still active — I would have to say a lot more today than I have ever been! Chasing Sebastian around the house and doing a million and one things all at once can be tiring, but I would not change it for the world. So, this baby bump is not going anywhere, anytime soon.

Do you have a baby bump you are proud of?
