Is it just me or are kids out of school longer for the holidays these days? I remember being a kid and thinking of the time off as a breather.
Back then, there was no need to wake up extra early. Typically, we’d stay over a friend’s house and their dad would take us to the park. Those were good times.
Fortunately, we live in South Florida where the weather is nice throughout the year. We have trips to the park throughout the year.
Planning Activities For The Kids
Traveling with three kids has improved in the last couple of months. However, when we go out with the pups, we still have to plan ahead.
These days, our kids are more into riding their bike and roaming on their own. Whether it’s running around in the playground or throughout the house, we’ve realized we have kids who enjoy staying active.
To help them stay active this holiday season, we’ve planned some fun things for us to do together. Below are three ways you can get your kids active during this holiday season:
Sign up for a class.
The fall is a great time to get the kids excited about learning something new. We’ve chosen swimming lessons at a local swim school. This way they have something to look forward to during the week and we can practice the lessons at our community pool. Another perk to living in South Florida.
Plan a family activity.
Getting creative is always a good idea during the holiday break. It can also get the kids excited about a holidays and spending time with family. Our boys enjoy doing arts and crafts, so it’s a no-brainer to get the drawing pads a coloring books out whenever we have downtime.
Go for a family walk.
It’s always a good idea to get out of the house for a bit. We love spending time at nearby beaches and parks with the kids. It’s a great way to clear your mind from the holiday stress as well.
This month, we received the Nighthawk from
He was so excited about his new toy, that he invited his cousins over last week to try it for themselves. It was nice to see
