Becoming a parent means you need to lay the foundation for your children’s future. It may seem scary, but there’s always help.

You know the saying, “it takes a village”? Well, it really does. It takes all the help you can get to raise your children to reach their full potential. When you turn on the news and hear about sadness and suffering throughout the world, it can make you cringe at the thought of raising your little ones in this world.

Here’s something you should remember, you have control over your child’s perspective on what’s going on around them. The world has a lot of good in it, as long as you choose to see it.

That’s why Sesame Street is hosting its K is for Kindness Tour, a free, multi-city experiential tour timed to and inspired by the new, 47th season of Sesame Street.

The K is for Kindness Tour was created for preschool fans and their families and features hands-on digital learning fun, participation from local libraries in each community. Activities include “meet and greets” with the costumed characters, a 15-minute interactive live stage show starring walk-around versions of the series’ beloved characters Elmo and Abby Cadabby.

We were so excited to hear that the tour will be stopping our local mall — the Pembroke Lakes Mall — this Saturday, January 21st between 11am and 4pm.  You can click here for more details on this upcoming event.

The new Sesame Street season will feature our long-time friend Elmo in an updated and fun version of “Elmo’s World”. With 25 of the five-minute installments, the new season will highlight lessons taught through pre-school relevant topics, live action films, and interactive thinking games.

We absolutely love Sesame Street and a program that focuses on teaching kindness. The one thing that we have focused on since our daughter was born was teaching her to be kind … it has paid off. She is an amazing heart and every day I feel blessed to be a part of her life. LOVE THIS! Love Sesame Street!

I can’t believe Sesame Street has been around for so many years. The people and puppets have been a part of so many children’s lives. K is for Kindness is an invaluable lesson. I hope y’all enjoy the event at your local mall. Will you share pictures?

This is so cool. This is a great way to teach kindness to kids with characters they can relate too. I grew up watching Sesame Street, so did my kids and now it is my grandkids’ turn. I will have to check if they are going anywhere near where we live.

I hear ya! I can’t wait to pass it on to our grandkids as well. Hopefully, they’ll still be around.

This is such a great motto for the new Sesame street series! Children should learn about kindness as soon as possible. Kindness is what makes a person good.

I agree. When I heard about the new series, I got so excited. Kids need positive programs to learn from.

I always used to love Sesame Street when I was a kid! I wish that more kindness and tolerance was taught to kids these days but sadly it doesn’t seem to be the case. This is such a great program that can bring about real amazing changes.
