Teachings Tuesday: Slow Down
Reminding myself to breathe is one thing, but actually doing it is another.
If you were given days to live, what would you do differently? You hear stories of people who are given months and sometimes even years to live and that is when you realize how important it is to actually live.
For years, I have always felt I was living, but I was just alive. Another day meant the same routine. And sadly, sometimes I fall back into similar routines. Since the birth of my son, life has taught me the value of living. I know it might sound cheesy, but my son has really brought out a different side of me. I am more relaxed and a lot happier than ever before.
Dealing With Stress
For most people, the holiday season can be stressful. I read an article on Entrepreneur magazine earlier that really made me think about how I have been able to deal with the many changes in my life. The article shared 11 tips to de-stress your life, and I was not surprised to see I had already implemented most of these tips in my life.
Sharing the happiness that motherhood has brought into my life through my blog has been a blessing, and keeping busy with it has opened the doors to new ideas and projects. Organization is key for bloggers, and I have improved. My thoughts are all in one place, as is my heart. <3 And because I love this new life we have created, I am a lot more careful with the things I eat. I have made a promise to myself not to give Sebastian any candy until he is at least five years old. Knowing that he loves to try anything I am eating, I am slowly cutting back on them. Sebastian is already a fruit junkie and a veggie lover, just like mommy. 🙂
Although it has not been a walk in the park, every day is another shot at life and that is how I have been able to appreciate the little moments I get to spend with my boys.
I already accept my boys for who and how they are, now if I could only do the same for most of the people I know, maybe then I would be able to let other’s actions stop causing a reaction from me.
I hope you had a wonderful Tuesday and are prepping for a merry holiday!
